Getting steady traffic and some conversions, but searching for your most profitable bundles?
Accurate tracking is the basis of every successful campaign.
Even small issues in data transfer can affect your statistics, ROI calculations, and ultimately the quality of your optimization efforts.
Setting up your tracker correctly before launch is a must.
To make things easier, we’ve prepared a step-by-step guide on integrating Galaksion with a tracker from our trusted partner Binom.
Learn how to configure tracking, monitor your key campaign parameters, and make optimization decisions based on transparent data in a single article!
Why proper tracking is essential for higher ROI
The Binom + Galaksion integration helps you identify tracking issues, optimize your campaigns based on real data, and buy traffic on better terms.
Galaksion is an advertising network operating on 100% direct traffic from trusted webmasters (no bots, resell, or remnant). Get access to 50B+ clean impressions per month and scale your offers across 6 ad formats, 20+ verticals, and 200+ GEOs! Innovative tools for higher ROI + smart targeting (GPU Targeting, Custom Rates, Traffic Volumes, and MORE) will be available to you upon signup.
Bonus for Binom users: register with the promo code BINOM15 and get 15% OFF your first campaign budget.
Each platform has a clear role. Our ad network handles traffic acquisition and delivery, while the tracker manages routing and analytics.
Here’s what a proper integration helps you achieve from day one:
- track every click and conversion without click_id losses;
- measure the real cost of your traffic inside the tracker;
- identify which zones, GEOs, and creatives generate the best results and which ones call for optimization;
- build a working foundation for scaling your campaigns.
And this is what a correctly configured data flow looks like:
Galaksion → Binom (click) → landing/offer → conversion → Binom → postback → Galaksion
The most common issues occur when:
- the affiliate network or advertiser isn’t getting the click_id;
- postback fails to return the click_id;
- tracking parameters are cut during redirects.
5 setup principles for accurate tracking
1️⃣ Postback will only work with a valid {click_id}.
Conversion can’t be matched to the original impression without the click ID being passed from Galaksion to Binom. Meaning, accurate attribution will be impossible.
2️⃣ The {cost} parameter reveals the true price of your traffic.
When your tracker receives the correct traffic cost, you’ll have reliable campaign statistics to optimize bids, evaluate zones, and allocate your budget more effectively.
3️⃣ Macros are the key to effective campaign management.
Tracking parameters like zoneid, geo, cid, and creative_id should act as your decision-making points. They let you segment traffic, identify where your campaigns are performing well, and quickly spot what needs optimization.
Below, we’ll explain what each macro does and how to use them for your benefit.
4️⃣ Postback accuracy directly impacts optimization.
Even a small configuration error can break your postback and lead to missing data. Make sure parameter names are identical across every platform in your tracking flow.
5️⃣ Proper tracking makes scaling.
Whitelists and blacklists, campaign cloning, higher bids on profitable zones, and separate campaigns by GEO all work best when your tracking is configured correctly.
Preparing your accounts for Galaksion × Binom integration
Before launching your campaign, you’ll need two accounts:
- a Galaksion account, where you’ll create and run your campaigns;
- a Binom account, where you’ll receive clicks, process tracking parameters, and analyze conversion data.
A special bonus from Galaksion will head start your journey with Binom.

Next, figure which metrics matter most for your campaign goals.
One of the most common mistakes advertisers make is treating tracker integration as a one-size-fits-all setup. In reality, your ad format, vertical, creatives, and campaign strategy all determine which data points deserve the most attention.
Macros will provide the campaign insights you need for effective scaling.
In the guide below, we’ll explain what each parameter does and how it helps you streamline optimization based on results you’d like to see.
Step-by-step tutorial to Galaksion × Binom integration
Step 1. Add Galaksion as a Traffic Source in Binom.
In Binom, go to Traffic Sources → Create.
From there, you can choose one of two options:
- use the ready-made Galaksion template, if it’s available in your Binom account;
- create the traffic source manually.
Set up the following core parameters in your traffic source settings:
- {click_id} → click ID ;
- {cost} → price per click.
We also recommend adding the following tracking tokens:
- {zoneid} → identifies the zone;
- {geo} → identifies the GEO;
- {cid} → campaign ID;
- {creative_id} → creative ID.
Understanding tracking parameters: the macros
1️⃣ {click_id} is the unique click identifier that Galaksion passes to Binom. This key parameter matches conversions returned through the postback.
Without this macro, Binom will still record the click, but it won’t be able to attribute the conversion to it. As a result, you’ll lose accurate conversion reporting and campaign analytics.
2️⃣ {cost} records the cost of each click.
It reveals your actual traffic costs in Binom, helping you calculate ROI and EPC, filter out unprofitable zones, and compare the performance of different traffic sources and slices.
3️⃣ {zoneid} identifies the zone where the click originated.
It serves as the most important optimization parameters for Pop and Push campaigns. You will be able to determine which zones are profitable and which ones are overspending your budget.
4️⃣ {geo} provides country-level reporting and allows for better decisions on bids, landing pages, and campaign scaling across different GEOs.
Particularly valuable for multi-GEO campaigns, where overall performance can hide underperforming regions.
5️⃣ {cid} matches campaign data between Galaksion and Binom.
Especially useful when running several tests in parallel, working with duplicated or cloned campaigns, or managing multi-level campaign structures.
6️⃣ {creative_id} makes it easy to compare creative performance and quickly separate strong options from weaker ones.
Creating a Traffic Source in Binom with the click ID, cost, and recommended tracking tokens highlighted.
Step 2. Create a Campaign in Binom.
In Binom, go to Campaigns → Create.
Configure the following settings:
- Traffic Source: Galaksion
- Pricing model: CPC (if you’re running on CPC)
❗ Note: The cost model in Binom should match the pricing model used for your campaign in Galaksion.
Press Save.
Step 3. Generate your tracking URL
After saving the campaign, Binom will automatically generate a tracking URL.
Every time a user clicks on your ad, Galaksion will automatically append the required tracking parameters, allowing Binom to record the click and attribute future conversions correctly.
Basic tracking URL example:
https://yourdomain.com/click?campaign=1&click_id={click_id}&cost={cost}&zoneid={zoneid}&geo={geo}&cid={cid}&creative_id={creative_id}
This single URL powers your entire tracking and reporting flow.
Why should you add parameters right away?
Including all required macros before launch gives you complete campaign data from the very first click. This is especially important during the testing phase, when every data point matters.
For example, if you add {zoneid} or {creative_id} when your campaign is already running, all previous clicks will remain without that level of detail. As a result, you’ll lose valuable insights for the early stage of your campaign.
Common mistakes at this stage:
- using an incorrect tracking parameter;
- or one of them is missing;
- using custom parameter names that don’t match the postback URL;
- passing click_id in the tracking URL but returning a different parameter in the postback.
Step 4. Paste the tracking URL into your Galaksion campaign
Now switch to your Galaksion profile at our Self-Service Platform.
In the Target URL field, paste the tracking URL generated by Binom.
Basic setup:
https://yourdomain.com/click?campaign=1&click_id={click_id}&cost={cost}
Recommended setup:
https://yourdomain.com/click?campaign=1&click_id={click_id}&cost={cost}&zoneid={zoneid}&geo={geo}&cid={cid}&creative_id={creative_id}
Basic setup is suitable if your goal is to track only clicks and traffic costs.
For deeper reporting and more precise campaign optimization, we strongly advise adding the expanded tracking parameters right at the start of your campaign. This is especially relevant when working with different verticals and types of traffic.
1️⃣ If you’re running broad tests with Pop or Push traffic
Zones are one of the main units of campaign analysis. Without {zoneid}, you’ll only be able to pause or scale the entire campaign rather than optimize individual placements.
2️⃣ If you’re aggressively testing multiple angles and creatives
The {creative_id} parameter shows which approach performs best, whether it’s the messaging, the creative itself, or the placement. It also lets you compare the CR and CTR of each creative.
3️⃣ If you’re testing several GEOs within one campaign pool
The {geo} parameter reveals which region generates the strongest and most profitable bundle.
4️⃣ If you’re working with tight margins
Regardless of the pricing model, tracking {cost} is crucial for calculating your real ROI.
Step 5. Configure the postback
Postback sends conversion data from Binom back to Galaksion. Here’s what a postback template looks like:
http://postback.report/postback?cid=123&click_id={clickid}&cost={payout}
Where:
- {clickid} → the click ID recorded by Binom;
- {payout} → the payout per conversion.
And here’s how the flow works:
1️⃣ User clicks on an ad from Galaksion.
2️⃣ Click is passed to Binom together with {click_id}, {cost}, and the additional tracking parameters.
3️⃣ User completes the target action.
4️⃣ Binom sends postback to Galaksion, specifying which click leads to a conversion and the payout attached to it.
Each conversion is matched to the relevant traffic source, zone, GEO, and creative.
Working with multiple conversion events (Install, Registration, Deposit)
In a basic setup, the postback reports a single conversion. However, many campaigns use a multi-event model, where the user completes several conversion stages.
Galaksion supports multiple conversion events in postback, allowing you to assign different rates to each event, either from the product’s side or dynamically through the price parameter in postback.
To pass an event, add the &event={event_name}parameter to your postback URL. If you’re sending another postback for the same click_id, you must also include rebill=1 .
Important: rebill=1 is required for every additional postback sent for the same click_id. Without it, subsequent conversions, such as a registration or deposit, won’t be recorded.
This setup allows Galaksion to process multiple conversion events for a single click, such as install → registration → deposit. The advertiser sends several postback requests with the same click_id, but with a different event for each conversion stage.
Event tracking in the Binom × Galaksion integration
Install (default)
http://postback.info/postback.php?cid=*&click_id=[:click_id]
If the event parameter is unspecified, the system records the conversion as an install.
Registration
http://postback.info/postback.php?cid=*&click_id=[:click_id]&event=registration&rebill=1
Deposit
http://postback.info/postback.php?cid=*&click_id=[:click_id]&event=deposit&rebill=1
Passing the payout for conversion
The payout for conversion can be defined in one of two ways.
1️⃣ Using rates
Galaksion applies the payout configured for each conversion event, such as:
- install;
- registration;
- deposit.
2️⃣ Using postback
You can manually set the value by passing the following parameter in your postback:
&price={value}
❗ Note: If the price parameter is included in the postback, it overrides the event payout configured in Galaksion.
If price is omitted or = 0, the system treats it as if no price value was passed at all.
How events and payouts get processed
Possible scenarios:
- No event in postback
— an install is recorded
— payout is based on the install rate
- Event parameter is present and its rate is configured
— matching event is recorded
— configured payout per event is applied
- Event parameter is present, but no rate is configured for it
— event gets recorded
— payout = 0
Supported events in Galaksion Ad Network
Pass the following values exactly as shown below:
- install
- registration
- deposit
- subscription
- trial_subscription
- cancel_subscription
- login
- tutorial_completion
- purchase
A multi-event postback allows you to:
- separately track each stage of the user journey (install → registration → deposit);
- measure performance based on both leads and revenue;
- optimize campaigns for the final events that matter most (such as deposits);
- scale traffic using reliable data;
- focus on the events that directly impact your offer’s performance.
Example
Let’s say you’re running an ad campaign in iGaming.
A typical user journey looks like this:
install → registration → deposit
If you only track install, you see only the top of the conversion funnel, which means your optimization decisions will be based on incomplete data.
With a multi-event postback:
- install shows the volume and quality of incoming traffic;
- registration measures the intermediate conversion;
- deposit reflects actual revenue.
Meaning, you can:
- halt zones that generate registrations but no deposits (hint: use Zones Tumbler Switch);
- increase bids on slices that consistently produce desired results (hint: use Custom Rates);
- scale only the ROI-driving bundles.
What happens when your Postback is configured incorrectly
Setting up Postback on Galaksion.
1️⃣ If {click_id} is different in the tracking URL and postback
Your conversions will no longer match your clicks. As a result, the tracker will record incoming traffic but won’t be able to attribute conversions to the correct clicks.
2️⃣ If {payout} and {cost} are mixed up
Your traffic costs and profit will be inaccurate, causing misleading campaign statistics, and thus, affecting your decisions in optimization.
3️⃣ If tracking parameters are lost during redirects
Some clicks will reach the tracker without essential data. This results in incomplete reporting, where some traffic slices are tracked correctly while others are missing key information.
4️⃣ If an incorrect {cid} is passed
Matching campaign data between Galaksion and Binom can become increasingly difficult over time.
And just like that, managing and scaling multiple campaigns or bundles at the same time will be much less efficient.
Tracking parameter equivalents in Binom and Galaksion
When integrating Binom with Galaksion, the same data may use different parameter names at different stages of the tracking flow.
Understanding how these parameters correspond to one another makes a successful integration.
We’ve prepared a reference table showing the mapping between Galaksion and Binom parameters.
| Parameter | In tracking URL (Galaksion → Binom) | Inside Binom | In postback (Binom → source) | Description |
| Click ID | {click_id} | {clickid} | {clickid} | A unique click ID used to match each conversion to the corresponding click |
| Cost | {cost} | {cost} | — | Click cost, passed from the traffic source (Galaksion) |
| Payout | — | {payout} | {payout} | Revenue generated by a conversion, passed in postback |
| Zone ID | {zoneid} | {zoneid} | (optional) | zone ID for optimization |
| GEO | {geo} | {geo} | (optional) | GEO |
| Campaign ID | {cid} | {cid} | (optional) | campaign ID in the source |
| Creative ID | {creative_id} | {creative_id} | (optional) | creative ID |
❗ Important to remember:
- {click_id} and {clickid} refer to the same value, but they’re used at different stages of the integration;
- {cost} and {payout} serve different purposes and should never be used interchangeably;
- in the postback URL, use {clickid}, not {click_id}
Step 6. Verify the integration before scaling
Once everything is configured, make sure your integration is working as expected.
Check that:
- clicks are being recorded in Binom;
- {click_id} is passed correctly;
- conversions are tracked successfully;
- postback is being sent and processed.
To confirm your setup, go to: Logs → Postback Log
In the logs, make sure that:
- incoming clicks are recorded for your test campaign;
- {click_id} remains consistent throughout the entire tracking flow;
- conversion payouts are received correctly;
- no key tracking parameters contain empty values;
- redirects preserve all tracking parameters without cutting parts of the URL.
Most common errors:
- a mismatch between {click_id} in the tracking URL and postback;
- a missing {cost} parameter;
- tracking parameters being lost during redirects;
- an incorrect {cid} value.
Tips to get the most from your Binom × Galaksion integration
Scaling and optimization start when your bundle shows good results after testing.
Optimize zones using Whitelists and Blacklists
As we’ve mentioned throughout this guide, {zoneid} is one of the most valuable optimization parameters, especially for Pop campaigns.
It allows you to identify which traffic zones consistently generate profitable results.
Once you’ve gathered enough data, you can blacklist underperforming zones and redirect your budget on the ones that deliver the best performance. This way, you optimize individual placements instead of pausing an entire campaign.
Your Blacklist should consist of zones with:
- no conversions;
- negative ROI;
- abnormally high costs.
For your Whitelist, prioritize zones with stable conversions and positive ROI.
The best option is to start with a broad campaign to collect performance data, then launch a separate campaign based on your whitelist of top-performing zones.
Features such as Zones Tumbler Switch on Galaksion will help streamline the process. Read more in our guide to Whitelists/Blacklists optimization.
Half-automated optimization strategies with parameters
1️⃣ Creatives
Use {creative_id} to:
- disable creatives with a lower CTR;
- direct more traffic to high-converting creatives;
- refresh your creatives regularly to maintain performance. Galaksion offers free creatives templates and allows you to test up to 10 in a single ad campaign.
2️⃣ GEOs
After the testing phase, we recommend segmenting your campaigns by GEOs.
Test them together if needed, then scale each country through separate campaigns. This gives you more control over bids, budgets, and optimization.
3️⃣ Rates
Increase bids on profitable zones and lower or stop bids on underperforming ones.
In Galaksion, your bid directly affects the amount of traffic you can receive. In Binom, tracking data helps you determine where higher bids generate additional profit and where they simply increase costs.
4️⃣ Clone campaigns
Once a campaign delivers stable profits, it’s ready to scale.
Clone it to test:
- a new landing page;
- another GEO;
- a different bid;
- a separate whitelist.
5️⃣ Reverse Postback
Since Galaksion supports reverse postback, you can send conversion data back to the traffic source to further optimize traffic quality and campaign performance.
We recommend enabling this feature only after completing your initial manual optimization and confirming that all tracking data is being transmitted correctly.
6️⃣ Ad formats
Once your ad campaign becomes consistently profitable, you can increase traffic volume within your winning segments and expand using other ad formats.
Compare the performance of individual formats, including traffic costs, conversion rates, and ROI to identify the best opportunities for further scaling.
Final words from the Galaksion team
Integrating Binom with Galaksion is much simpler than it may seem at first.
Once everything is configured correctly, your tracking data becomes the base for better optimization and more profitable campaigns.
There are three key objectives to keep in mind:
- capture every click correctly;
- preserve all essential tracking parameters throughout the flow;
- attribute every conversion back to the original click ID.
Once your integration is running smoothly, Binom and Galaksion will work together as a unified traffic management system.
Galaksion gets the traffic, Binom provides detailed analytics and budget control.
Together, they give you everything you need to make data-driven decisions in optimization and achieve a stable ROI.
At Galaksion, we share Binom’s appreciation for transparent reporting and performance-driven scaling.
